Came here for a rehearsal dinner. Was very impressed with the food quality and the cleanliness of the restaurant. The service wasn't the greatest considering the restaurant didn't appear too busy at 9 o'clock at night.
I had the steak and it was tender and properly cooked. Also had the vegetable medley and it tasted terrific.
The wife had The halibut and truly enjoyed it. The seasoning was outstanding.
The bread before the meal was excellent. You could tell that it was Fresh.
The manager did take the opportunity to come by and check on us a couple of times.
Big improvement for the Kings Fish House brand from the last time I had been in. We had actually stopped going after their management debacle in Rancho Cucamonga as their food and service had quickly diminished. Not sure what they were thinking over there.
Great job! Possibly winning back a customer who has been gone fore a few years. -

Pretty much your typical Kings. The usual good service. I ordered the cedar plank salmon and told the waitress I didn't want it raw in the center as they are inclined to do at KFH. She said she would tell the cook I wanted it medium. I've never had to specify a cooking range on a piece of fish before but I agreed to that and it wasn't bad. Slightly over cooked but definitely no raw fish in the center. I thought the portion size was very small for the price paid, but I always think that when I go to KFH.
The sushi roll was excellent probably a better value than the grilled and seared entrees. -

The fillet minon did not taste right. It taste like liver. The lobster was Dry and just bla bla. The Grilled Zulu I was soggy. The potato was dry.
The clam chowder was very good and so was the bread hence- one star.
The service was great but the food not so much. -

Dropped in around 4 p.m. on a Saturday and, as usual, had super yummy food and service from Melissa. Opted for the half pound of shrimp cocktail and artichoke with delish dipping sauces....Also had a berry slush non-alcoholic drink.
Kudos, as this is one of the very few restaurants that actually show the prices for their cocktails in their menu. Most of the other places are non-transparent and do not show you anything, so you have no idea if your Bloody Mary will be $6 or $12 when you get your final bill......Who these days wants sticker shock like that? But, for 95% of places, corporate has determined that that action will bump up the gross and net profits and the tips for the server. Great in theory, but pissing off the customers is the end result.....which kills 100% of GoodWILL and good PR.
The only issue I had at King's is the fact that they use the food runner system, which might be good in theory, but fails miserably in the end (as it did this time when they forgot 2 items I had requested)...... as the food runners have NO VESTED INTEREST in making sure what they bring (or omit) is correct, for it is the server who gets the big time tips. In fact, when the food runners are doing 2/3 of the work, WHY is it that the server gets the big chunk of the tip? It makes no sense to me, but for the server it must be paradise to work in such a restaurant: do 50%+ less work and get the SAME tips as if they were running their buns off doing 100% of the work.....
This situation really blew my mind on my last visit to Flemings Steak House, when the servers were getting massive tips in the $100+ range and doing almost NOTHING......the assorted runners did almost everything and the servers tipped out only 10% to the food runners and 10% to the bar tender. No wonder people fight to work at such places!! It's a license to print money. -

Came here for my birthday in August and also last night for my best friends birthday . The place is always deserted but I have no idea why the food is awesome and service is excellent . The staff is always warm and seems happy to serve . I recommend the Lobster and loaded baked potato . The regular and spicy clam chowder is out of this world . I like the pumpkin cheesecake and the bread pudding is ok .my daughter like the fish and chips on the kids menu as well as the Mac and cheese . The kids menus are pretty cool. MICHAEL IS THE BEST SERVER .
